How To Use This Field Trip Mad Lib With Your Kids
- Before reading through the story, take a look at each blank space. Each space will have a prompt underneath (such as noun, adjective, verb, adverb, etc) for you to fill in with the part of speech of your choice.
- If your child has a hard time keeping things random and silly, take a separate sheet of paper and write down all the blank prompts in a list.
- Have your child fill in each blank according to the prompt.
- When each blank has been filled in, read the story out loud, inserting each word that your child selected.
- At the end, you will have a super silly story about your child’s imaginative field trip! And of course, your child will have had tons of fun practicing (or perhaps learning for the first time) parts of speech!
