What Are Mad Libs?
Mad Libs worksheets are a type of game where you fill in the blanks of a story with different words.
You’ll get a short blank story that is missing all kinds of words throughout and each blank spot will be labeled with different parts of speech. These parts of speech might include, but are not limited to, nouns (including plural nouns and singular nouns), adverbs, adjectives, verbs, exclamations, and so on.
When the story is completed, it results in a silly story or wacky compilation that may or may not make sense.
They’re a lot of fun, and kids love them because they can be silly. But they also help improve vocabulary skills, not to mention reading, parts of speech, Language Arts, and other grammatical skills.
How to Play
To play, first print out the free zoo Mad Lib sheet (found below). Then gather your family or students together and get to work!

Go through the story and fill in all the blanks with the associated word of their choice. This is best done without having read the story first.
