ABCmouse is this incredible digital universe created by Age of Learning, Inc., designed for kiddos aged 2 to 8 (although I’d say it’s more geared towards the younger ones). It’s a one-stop-shop for learning, covering a vast array of subjects from reading and math to science, art, and music.

With over 10,000 activities and 850 lessons spread across 10 levels, it’s like the Disneyland of early learning apps – there’s always something new and exciting around every corner.

Let’s Talk Numbers: Pricing and Accessibility

Right now there is a deal for $45 a year or $14.99 a month and for that price, ABCmouse offers an all-you-can-learn buffet for your kids. As you can see, it’s cheaper to sign up for the annual plan, however you can get a 30-day free trial if you opt for monthly.

I’m currently on the monthly plan for our kids because I wasn’t sure how long I’d keep it (we try so many programs, as you might imagine). But honestly, I wish I would have took advantage of the $45 deal.

It’s compatible with nearly any device, from laptops to tablets, which means your kids can dive into learning whether they’re at the dining table, in the backseat, or snuggled up in their favorite reading spot.

So what is it about ABCMouse that I like (there’s quite a bit!)

But, It’s Not All Roses…

While ABCmouse has been a fantastic addition to our homeschooling toolkit, it’s not without its limitations. It shines as a supplementary resource, offering a rich, interactive learning experience. However, I wouldn’t lean on it as the sole foundation of our homeschool curriculum.

It’s fabulous for keeping the younger ones occupied and learning while I focus on more intensive lessons with the older kids. That’s the main use I get out of it currently.

One of the things I absolutely adore about ABCmouse is how it encourages kids to take the reins of their learning adventure. And the ticket system is really cool. Kids get the opportunity to earn tickets throughout their time on the app, and they can then redeem those tickets to buy things to upgrade their avatars. While the youngest ones don’t really understand this idea, the older ones definitely do and love it.
