Why Mad Libs?
Mad Libs are super fun storytelling pages that encourage kids to learn parts of speech, critical thinking, and basic storytelling skills. When you enjoy an Mad Libs activity, you’ll get a short story that is missing some key elements such as verbs, nouns, and so on. You and your kids will then have to insert the appropriate part of speech in each blank space, preferably before reading through the story (it’s funnier that way).
At the end of the activity, not only will your kids have a better understanding of singular nouns, plural nouns, adjectives, verbs that end in ‘ing’ and etc, you’ll also have a super funny story that will have them laughing and giggling all afternoon!
And as if that wasn’t cool enough, you can enjoy these kinds of activities again and again because if you use different words, the story will be different every time!
Or you can download these free fill in the blank copywork pages, which were inspired by Mad Libs and created just for you.
So enjoy and happy learning!
