If you’re looking for a program that offers online math tutoring, then you’re going to want to read our Brighterly Review. Learn all about it, including how to get a free trial session.
When it comes to online education, there are so many options for learning math that it can be overwhelming. Trying to find the right one for our homeschooling needs is no small feat.
With that in mind, today I’m going to take a look at Brighterly, a platform that’s been buzzing in homeschool circles for its innovative approach to math.
As a homeschool mom always on the lookout for resources that strike a balance between education and engagement, I approached Brighterly with both optimism and a healthy dose of skepticism.
So want to know if it’s worth your time? Then continue reading my Brighterly review below.
What’s Brighterly All About?
First things first – what is Brighterly? Brighterly positions itself as an online math platform for students in grades 1-8, promising to transform math from a dreaded subject into an interactive and enjoyable experience.
How does it do this? Unlike other math apps, Brighterly connects you with a real-live tutor for one-on-one tutoring sessions. This allows your child to get personalized instruction.
And the sessions are interactive, offering a mix of games, quizzes, and personalized learning paths, aiming to deepen students’ understanding of math concepts beyond mere memorization.
How Does It Work?
When it comes to getting started with Brighterly, you can start with a free live lesson, which is an insanely good value. All you have to do is go through the 10-step signup process. Yes, that sounds like a lot, but it’s not.
To show you, I went through the process myself and recorded an explainer. Check it out below.
Diving Deeper into Brighterly: The Good and the Potential
So what do we like about Brighterly? There are several positives I’d like to mention.
- Tailored Learning: The ability to have lessons customized to a child’s needs is really a game-changer. It’s reassuring to know that the curriculum isn’t just comprehensive but also adaptable.
- Expert Tutors: Brighterly’s tutors are not just math experts; they’re passionate educators committed to making math accessible and enjoyable. I think their patience and expertise can make a noticeable difference in your child’s confidence and ability.
- Interactive Platform: The platform itself is user-friendly and engaging, making it easy for kids to navigate and enjoy their learning journey.
- Conceptual Understanding: Brighterly excels in fostering a conceptual understanding of math. It’s refreshing to see a platform that prioritizes the “why” behind the math, which is crucial for long-term comprehension.
- Flexibility and Convenience: For homeschooling families, the flexibility to learn at your own pace and schedule is invaluable. Brighterly fits seamlessly into our daily routine, offering a convenient way to enhance our math curriculum.
Are There Any Cons?
Honestly, if you’re looking for a program that offers online math tutorials, then this is it. The only thing I’d say is it would be nice if Brighterly offered tutorials for high school grades. Once you get to high school math, it can get pretty difficult to help out as a parent. And finding home school resources for high schoolers can prove challenging.
So if I could change one thing, I’d expand the grade level offerings.
The Verdict: Is Brighterly the Right Choice for Your Homeschool?
After a thorough review, I find Brighterly to be a promising addition to any homeschooling family’s educational arsenal, particularly for those looking to invigorate their math lessons. Its strengths in making math interactive and understandable are undeniable.
However, as with any educational tool, it’s essential to consider your child’s specific learning preferences and needs. I recommend taking advantage of Brighterly’s trial lesson to see if it’s a good fit for your family.
In our journey to provide the best educational experiences for our children, platforms like Brighterly offer a glimpse into the future of learning: dynamic, personalized, and, above all, engaging. Here’s to the continued search for resources that not only educate but inspire our children to love learning.
As we navigate the vast sea of educational tools, remember, the best resource is one that aligns with your child’s curiosity and passion for learning. Happy homeschooling, and may your math adventures with Brighterly be both fruitful and fun!
