Need a laugh? Here are the best funny homeschool quotes and memes to brighten your day!
If you’ve spent any amount of time on social media, you might have noticed the popularity (and hilarity) of good, funny memes that are being shared by your friends and co-workers. I get a good kick out of most of these memes, but my favorite memes are funny homeschooling memes.
I love to laugh. I am always typing lol in my Facebook posts and comments (like a child, I know, but I just can’t help it). In fact, when I was in high school, I loved quotes so much I would write them all over my binders and my backpack and my locker.
Seriously guys. Quotes. Everywhere. I’ll have to see if I can find my old binder and take a picture for you lovely folks (yes, I still have one of my quote-covered binders).
But anyways, that side of me has not changed. I still love quotes. Funny quotes, inspiring quotes, and quotes that make you think: they all have a special place in my heart. And I am definitely one to get lost in a Pinterest board that is filled with funny relatable memes.
In fact, I’d rather mindlessly scroll through some funny things on Pinterest than some drama-filled posts on Facebook any day!
Sometimes we all need a little pick-me-up. And reading through a list of fantastic quotes is a great way to find a little encouragement on a rainy day.
Quotes can inspire. Quotes can encourage. Quotes (and memes) can make you happy.
Quotes can elicit emotions like few other things can.
So partly to feed this habit of mine, and partly to provide you with some awesome homeschool humor, I have created my very own collection of the funniest homeschool quotes, the most inspiring homeschool quotes, and the funniest homeschool memes on the internet. For your reading pleasure, just in case you need a little pick-me-up.
I have even sectioned off these wonderful little gems into categories. Partly for my own organization and partly to make your life easier.
See that little table of contents button at the top of the page? Feel free to use that to jump straight to the section you most want to read.
Want to read the encouraging and inspiring homeschool quotes? Great! There’s a section for that. Only interested in funny memes? There’s a section for that too. In fact, that section includes some of my very favorite homeschool memes. (You could say the best homeschool memes of 2024.)
Near the middle of this page, you’ll find some reversed public school reactions. This section takes common reactions to finding out people homeschool and reverses them to show the hilarity (and ridiculousness) of these responses. I guess you could call that the sarcastic homeschool memes section?
There’s a section for some hilarious videos about homeschooling that I found on YouTube. Now that is a good section that is sure to give you a good laugh.
Enjoy spending the next few minutes happily scrolling through all of the quotes and memes on this page. You are definitely in for some great and inspiring homeschool humor.
Some of these memes were created entirely by me, some of these quotes were originally quoted by famous people of varying sorts and then decorated by me, and some of these memes were inspired by sites such as FreedomHomeschooling.com and then dressed up by me.
Google is no match for this compilation of funny stuff to brighten your day.
Enjoy!
And now onto the rest of the inspiring, encouraging, and just plain funny homeschool memes and quotes.

Inspiring and Encouraging Homeschool Quotes
This first section is where homeschooling moms come for inspiration and encouragement. These quotes are not exactly funny. Some of them are a pinch ironic and a few of them are sarcastic.
But all of them are sure to put a lift in your step and leave you proud to be on this journey we call homeschooling.
So keep scrolling and prepare to be encouraged!

When it comes to my children, my greatest goal for them is Heaven, not Harvard. If they go to the latter on their way to Heaven, that’s great. But if they reverse that equation, I’ve failed them.
Barbara Frank

It’s not that I’m worried if my kids go to public school they won’t turn out “OK.” Homeschool is about SO much more – The family time is a treasure, the relationships, the learning, the lifestyle, the discipleship…It’s not about keeping them from something, but about giving them something – it doesn’t shelter, it FREES!

Imagination is more important than knowledge.

Funny Homeschool Memes and Quotes
Out of all the sections in this article, this is probably my favorite. What’s better than a bit of homeschool humor in the form of a funny meme or a sarcastic homeschool meme to brighten your day?
And the best part? This section gets updated regularly. Because like I mentioned before, I am always scouring the internet for the next best homeschool meme. And when I find a little bit of inspiration, I spend some time in my design software, and I share the results here.
And trust me when I say I only share the very best homeschool memes here. Only the truly funny memes make it online. Everything else? Well, those can just stay on the drawing board.

Even More Funny Homeschool Memes (And Some Sarcastic Homeschool Memes Too!)
Check out some of these funny pictures. You’ve got to admit, these are some pretty hilarious memes. Funny stuff here, guys.

How true is this?
Public school or homeschool, my kid is still going to be molded and influenced by me. So…basically, she has no hope for escape! (insert evil laugh here!)

As a homeschool mom, I LOATHE this question. Out of all the common questions we get regarding our schooling, this is the worst.
We don’t do grade levels.
My same child could be on 4th-grade level math, 2nd-grade level reading, and 10th-grade level science. (yes, one of my children is like that)
My short answer to this question is whatever grade their peers are in. But it really is a complicated question.

Classic reaction to all those nay-sayers who wonder how on earth homeschoolers ever get a chance to socialize! (As if we never leave the house for months at a time or something.)

We don’t wear pajamas every day. I promise we don’t.
I feel much more put together when everybody is dressed.
BUT I like this meme because it points out how the fun little ‘perks’ you get at public school can be enjoyed anytime when you homeschool!

Everybody always asks how homeschoolers deal with socialization.
But they fail to recognize that traditionally schooled kids get 15 minutes for lunch and 20 minutes of recess for socialization. How is that any better?
Also consider the fact that at a traditional school, you only get to interact with people your same age.
My homeschool kids are more comfortable talking to people of ANY age than I am. No question.
Reversed Reactions to Homeschooling Funny Quotes
If you’ve been homeschooling (or talking about homeschooling) for longer than, say, five minutes, then I’m sure you’ve gotten one (or more) of these protesting questions from nay-sayers.
Maybe these questions come from friends or family, or maybe they come from busy-body strangers. Maybe these nay-sayers are genuinely curious or maybe they are worried about your kids.
But what if we posed these same questions to our well-meaning friends, only in reverse?
Check out these funny homeschool quotes about reversed homeschool questions for public schoolers.
Note – I have nothing against our public school neighbors. I merely wonder what they would think if we asked them the questions they so often ask us??

What in the world would make you decide to public school?

Aren’t you afraid public schooling will make your child weird? I met a weird person one time and they went to public school!

Well, I guess public schooling is fine for you, but most families really shouldn’t public school.
freedomhomeschooling.com

Oh, you’re public schooled? What’s 10 plus 6? 13 times 4? Who was the 17th president? What is the temperature of the Earth’s core?

Aren’t you concerned about the negative socialization in public school?
freedomhomeschooling.com

I could never public school. My kids don’t listen to me, so how can I expect them to listen to a teacher?

How does your child like being stuck at school all day?
freedomhomeschooling.com

Public schooling might be O.K. while they are young, but surely you won’t public school them for high school too!
freedomhomeschooling.com

These kinds of questions posed to public school kids are absolutely laughable! No kind and loving homeschooling parent would ask her public schooling neighbor these things.
So why is it acceptable for these questions to be asked of us?
That, my friends, is a good question.
