Fun Sloth Activities

Included in this study are some close reading assignments. Close reading requires the student to become a detective. Reading the given text with an intent focus, students are expected to gather every bit of information possible from what is in front of them, without relying on other sources.  

In close reading activities, the kids aren’t given a bunch of information or definitions beforehand. The goal of close reading is to encourage independent readers who have the ability to find deeper meaning in the text by considering only the text itself. 

Questions to go along with the close reading text assignments are provided. 

Another activity included in this study is a fun word search with a slothy theme.
