Free Valentine Symmetry Activities 1 Practical Help for Homeschool Parents and Teachers
Free Valentine's Day Symmetry Pages

These free Valentine Symmetry Activities are fun for kids and surprisingly educational. Read on to see what’s included in the downloadable printable.

It’s almost time for Valentine’s Day which means people all over the internet are searching for Valentine’s Day learning pages, worksheets, and other free printables. This is why we have created these Valentine Symmetry Activities for you to enjoy with your kids.

Before these, we released these Christmas Symmetry Pages and they were such a hit that we knew we had to do some more for other holidays. Symmetry pages are a great way for kids to exercise both the logic and the art parts of their brains.

Symmetry pages are good for teaching basic math skills. Your child must look at the picture that has been chopped in half and use their deductive skills to solve the image.

Due to popular demand, I have created both left and right-handed versions of these pages. And of course, they’re absolutely free. So download your Valentine’s Day Symmetry pdf file today!

What Is Included in These Valentine Symmetry Activities?

Wondering what to expect when you download our Valentine’s Symmetry Pages? First and foremost, this bundle of worksheets is completely free. So you’ll get a great resource and it won’t cost you a penny (or more)!

The bundle consists of 20 pages worth of symmetry activities. There are 10 different designs, including:

  • Valentine’s Day hearts
  • doves
  • cupcakes
  • lips
  • teddy bear
  • open hands holding a heart
  • valentine card

Each design comes in both a right hand and a left hand version. That way, both left and right-handed children can equally enjoy making the symmetry art on the other half of the page without you having to do any additional work. We did it for you!

Why Should You Use Valentine’s Day Symmetry Activities?

These Valentine’s Day symmetry activities are a great way to engage your little learners. My kiddos absolutely love them.

Not only will they help stretch your kids’ brains, but they’ll also encourage creativity and boost fine motor skills.

Plus, you can easily incorporate them into the classroom setting by tying them in with a lines of symmetry math lesson. What are lines of symmetry? It’s basically a line that goes down the center of an object that creates a mirror image on the other half. Each side is not only equal but also symmetrical (or made up of exactly the same parts facing each other across an axis).

Not only that, but most kids love to draw. So this is drawing with a purpose!

How to Use These Valentine Symmetry Pages in Your Homeschool

Here’s how you can use these Valentine Symmetry activities in your homeschool or traditional classroom setting:

1. As a warm-up activity: You can assign just one page at the beginning of class and give a short time limit. This is a great way to get the brain in gear and loosened up for deeper learning activities.

2. As an independent assignment: Once you’ve given your lesson on lines of symmetry, these Valentine’s Symmetry pages make a great independent assignment to drive home the point.

3. Math centers: These worksheets make a great, fun station for any math center. Kids will be happy to get to draw during their center rotation!

4. Valentine’s Day activities for parties: Especially in a classroom setting, if you’re having a Valentine’s Party, it’s important to include structured activities. Otherwise, things can get a bit chaotic, especially once the sugar starts flowing. These symmetry activities are a fun activity that engage the brain without really feeling like work!

5. As a symmetry art assignment: These pages make a great art assignment. Have your child draw their own line of symmetry, and then they can duplicate it on the other side to create a unique piece of artwork. They can sketch, or use ink, color pencils, etc.
