Setting up and decorating the Christmas tree is a beloved tradition for families all over the world.

Every family has their own version of this tradition.

Some families love to go into the mountains and chop down their own Christmas tree.

Other families like to buy a live Christmas tree from a tree farm or a local Christmas tree lot.

And still other families prefer the beauty of an artificial Christmas tree.

There are pros and cons to each of these traditions. But what do all of these traditions have in common?

Space. Lots and lots of space.

And for some families, a large, space-taking Christmas tree is just not in the cards.

If you live in a small apartment, or you are roadschooling in an RV, you need a Christmas tree that works in a small space.

That’s why I put together this list of space-saving Christmas trees.

These space-saving Christmas trees are ideal for situations where a large Christmas tree just isn’t an option.

Or if you have a home large enough for a big and beautiful Christmas tree and you just want a spare tree to go up in your schoolroom, a smaller Christmas tree might work perfectly for you too!

Small Christmas Trees for an RV

Our family spends a lot of time in our RV.

In fact, it is decently common for homeschoolers to take up residence in an RV at least part of the year. This lifestyle is affectionately called roadschooling and is beloved by many.

I was not about to skip the joys of a Christmas tree just because we would be spending Christmas in an RV so I found a beautiful little tree that is just perfect for the limited space of an RV.

This is the RV-friendly Christmas tree we bought for our home on wheels.

It hangs on the wall and doesn’t stick out very far at all! It’s wide and full and comes pre-lit.

I wish it was battery-operated, but I accidentally bought the plug-in version. Not a huge deal though as it doesn’t take a bunch of power.

But if you want a battery-operated Christmas tree, there are plenty of options (as you can see below)

What you’re really looking for in an RV-Friendly Christmas tree is a tree that doesn’t take up any floor space but that isn’t lacking in beauty.

These Christmas trees hang on the wall with a simple commando hook.

Make sure you verify if the tree you want requires a plug-in or runs off of a battery.

Christmas Trees For Apartments and School Rooms

Small spaces such as apartments or school rooms will benefit from the cheery feeling a small Christmas tree provides.

These space-saving Christmas trees sit on a box or end-table in the corner, providing a room with the Christmas Spirit without taking up any extra floor space.

Child-Friendly Christmas Trees

Some families like to include a small, child-friendly Christmas tree in their homes.

Christmas trees that kids are allowed to touch and play with will bring lots of joy to little ones.

An additional benefit to a child-friendly Christmas tree is the hope that your little one will be less tempted to touch the nice, family tree when she has a little tree of her own that she is allowed to touch.

These felt Christmas trees are safe (and fun!) for kids to play with all season long.

These felt Christmas trees will fit nicely in an RV, in an apartment, in a schoolroom, or in a playroom. The sky’s the limit and the benefits are not to be missed!

Whatever type of Christmas tree you decide on for your small space, you are sure to enjoy the feeling of joy your new Christmas tree will bring.

After all – who doesn’t love a Christmas tree!?
