What Are Mad Libs?
Has your child ever asked you what are Mad Libs? In short, Mad Libs are a fun and silly way to enjoy story telling.
They are books or pages with blanks in them that need to be filled in by the reader. The person who is filling in the blanks doesn’t know what the story is going to be about, so they can fill in any words they want.
The results are usually very funny, and often make no sense at all. Mad Libs are a great way to entertain yourself and your friends. They are also a great way to tie in some Language Arts learning since each activity page requires general knowledge of parts of speech and grammar.
So next time you’re feeling bored, pick up a Mad Libs book or printable page and have some fun!
Since Mad Lib is officially a copyrighted resource, I cannot offer you my own Mad Libs. You’ll have to buy those from an official Mad Libs vendor. I can, however, offer you these Fill in the Blank Copywork Pages which were inspired by the original Mad Libs.
