The basic premise of the game is to cover as many squares on your grid as possible by correctly multiplying the numbers displayed on either the board or the calling cards.

Or if your board is set up the opposite way and the calling cards show solutions and the board shows problems, then when you draw a calling card that displays “6” for example, you’d look for the problem on your board that, when multiplied together, results in the number six.

You can decide on your own rules for coming up with a winner. Either play until somebody gets 5 in a row or play until somebody has filled in the entire board. Or keep going until there are multiple winners with multiple rows or blacked-out boards!

Add multiplication BINGO to your homeschool math lessons, your public school math lessons, or your child’s after-school times table practice. The choice is yours and the possibilities are nearly endless!

When you’re done enjoying some BINGO fun, be sure to take consider adding other fun math board games to your math skills lessons.

To make your own by hand, you’ll need a piece of paper (or cardstock), a black pen or marker, and something to use as chips (tokens, pennies, etc.).

First, draw a 5×5 grid on your paper. Next, label each box with a different number, preferably solutions to various times table problems. Make sure you create a unique board for every student that will be playing.

Finally, create a list of times table problems that coincide with the solutions on your boards. You can keep these problems in a list that you just read off randomly, or you can cut out each problem and put each strip of paper in a bowl or hat for randomization.

Once you have your board ready, all you need to do is hand out some chips (or tokens) to each player and you’re good to go!
