You all remember my post about my kids being best of friends?

Yeah, that was a great day.

Thankfully, we have good days like that quite often. Today is NOT one of those days. Or rather, this week is not one of those weeks.

I swear, these kids have been SCREAMING at each other for the last three days. Baby Jacob cries every time I put him down. Honestly, he cries a good chunk of the time he’s being held too. My toddler, Elisha, has been shrieking and crying almost constantly. Elisha has reached the age where he wants to talk and communicate and it frustrates him that he can’t yet. So we all get to benefit from his frustrations via screaming.

It’s been a week, guys. Quite a week.

Is it Friday yet?

Weeks like these make me wonder why we ever decided to homeschool.

Don’t get me wrong. I LOVE homeschooling. I’m addicted to homeschooling. Hence this blog. Don’t believe me? Just check out the post I made on reasons why we homeschool. But sometimes, I wonder what it’s like to have a quiet house all day long.

No screaming, no fighting, no crying.

Then I remember – oh yeah! Quiet houses make me feel sad and lonely! Quiet houses remind me how much I miss my babies. Quiet houses are much too quiet. (plus, quiet houses make me think about all the cleaning and cooking that needs to get done, and who wants to spend their days doing that?)

So yes, I do love homeschooling. And even on bad days like today, I still wouldn’t change a thing.

That being said – perhaps it’s time for a park day! Get these kids a change of scenery and maybe a change of attitude…
