How To Play The Scattergories Free Printable Game
Here is a step by step guide to walk you through how to play the Valentine’s Day Scattergories free printable game.
- Gather your family, friends, or co-op members and sit close together (just close enough to hear each other and talk easily).
- Hand every player a copy of the Valentine’s Scattergories game.
- To make things more challenging, consider only showing one column at a time. Cover the others with a piece of paper or by folding the paper.
- You will begin with column on, which is ‘L’ and continue to the right with each subsequent round.
- Use either an alarm clock or an app on your mobile phone, to set a timer that will ring after one minute.
- Once the timer begins the countdown, each group member will have to make their way down the Valentine’s Day Scattergories printable sheet to see how many categories they can fill. The key is that participants need to use words that start with the chosen letter from the alphabet.
- Players stop writing when the timer rings.
- Once everyone has stopped writing, each player reads out the words they have written for each category.
- Each valid response is worth one point. Duplicate answers (either on the same sheet or amongst other players’ sheets for the same category) are canceled out for a sum of zero points.
- The player who has written down the most words becomes the winner of the round.
Keep in mind that there are points awarded for each correct word. Those who have listed phrases instead of words will be scored on the basis of how accurate their phrase is. The group will collectively make this decision to prevent bias.
